The summer schedule for practices starts as of now. Seniors' ( and older juniors) main practice night is Wednesday at the Club ground from 6pm onwards and optionally also on a Thursday (same timing).

Juniors practice on Sunday mornings at the Club ground from 10.30am to midday but see also the article headed "Junior Section Membership" for additional information.

The IRB has allocated New Anniesland two dates in June for matches in the Under 21 Rugby World Cup. They are on Friday, 11th and Sunday, 27th June.

Friday, 11th (Opening Day) - 5pm KO Ireland v Tonga and 7pm KO France v Australia.

Sunday, 27th (Closing Day) - 10am KO 11th place v 12th place and 12 midday KO 7th place v 8th place. Semi final KO at 2pm and Final KO at Hughenden at 4pm.

Considerable funding is being made available for these days by the IRB and, assuming that the Section puts in an effort to make it a success, some of this funding will come to us. Assistance required from all members for creche (CRB checked only), burger bar, sweets stall, beer tent, gate, programmes, scoreboard operators and car parking. The earlier you apply to Colin Dawson the better chance of getting the job you want. Otherwise you will be allocated a job.

Please diarise these dates NOW and be sure to make yourself available to help out.

Further information about junior league fixture(s) and Sunday practice on these dates will be posted to the site when available - we may rearrange or cancel to allow attendance at the matches.
