Glasgow Accies got their league season off to a victorious start with a tightly fought victory at Galloway's scenic Cally Palace Ground.
Accies were inserted on a damp-green wicket, after overnight rain. A cautious start to the innings created the foundations for partnerships of 39 between Fritzy and Andy and 65 between Andy and Euan.
Accies' final total of 169 for 9, from their allocated 50 overs was defended admirably by the bowlers. Galloway were reduced to 48 for 4 after 20 overs with Randy, Abhay and Roddy taking wickets.
After a spirited fight back from Galloway, Accies completed the victory with 8 balls to spare. Kash and Randy finishing with 3 and 4 wickets, respectively, were the pick of the bowlers.
They were supported in the field by a superb catch at backward square leg by Euan and a sharp run-out by Roddy.
