Match report

Match reports are the views of the author, and not necessarily those of the club.

Horribly mis-matched game against a strong side that would provide tough opposition for our 2's. Not helped by three main bowlers going down with injury (or perhaps a shameless attempt to preserve bowling figures), two batsmen aggravating injuries and unable to bat (or perhaps a shameless attempt at self-preservation) and one having to play with a runner. The positive points were Ronnie Singh’s patient well-crafted half-century, Haydn Gleed’s historic one hundredth wicket for the club, good attitude and spirit from the youngsters making their debut (Euan and Cameron) and no-one losing their heads even as they were gaining neck cricks. And we somehow emerged with 7 points out of the carnage.
