Match report

Match reports are the views of the author, and not necessarily those of the club.

Just a couple of weeks ago the lads thought they had a chance of winning the league and, at the same time, Poloc asked if the match rained off earlier could be replayed. The loss last week against Prestwick sunk all hopes of the title but this match had to be honoured. Sadly most of the usual squad declared themselves unavailableso a much younger side took the field and, even at that, only nine of them. With Poloc at full strength Ross Beattie's team succumbed for a paltry 45 runs in the 15 overs available much aided by Phil Revie's 14 at No 5 and being last man out - run out.

Poloc's reply to poor bowling was brutal with the total being knocked off in only 29 balls with 10 boundaries. It is a pity that the team's season came to such a disappointing finale on what was a very pleasant evening.
