Match report

Match reports are the views of the author, and not necessarily those of the club.

A solid performance from an U18 side growing in confidence. 3 on the trot under stand-in captain, Scott Young.

Batting was solidly propped up by Sam McVitty, in to counter the dangerous presence of future State cricketer (apparently) Vardy.

The bowling effort was the usual story for the Accies boys - shared out amongst several very able youngsters. Skipper Scott Young bowled his 5 well again, removing the key man Vardy with his third ball. Habib Malik looked dangerous as ever, Crawford and Dick were solid, and Ian McCallum closed out the innings with an iron nerve for one so young.

Some refreshing hitting from youngster Meikle ran the scores close in the end, but Accies were dominant enough in the field that the win rarely looked in doubt.
