Match report

Match reports are the views of the author, and not necessarily those of the club.

Accies batted first in a shortened 16 over match (due to poor light this time of year) and lost Phil Revie early for 1. Ganapathi and Malik got them off to a cracker of a start then, smashing 69 in the first 9 overs. McNaught then carried on Malik's positive intentions by pummelling 35 in just 24 balls. He got out midway through the final over to give Crawford a short time to accompany Ganapathi to finish off the innings. Ganapathi finished off unbeaten with 59 from 46 balls; the anchor of the innings.

Richardson and Meikle then started well and got East Kilbride off to a quick start in reply to Accies' 130-3. Meikle then fell for 29 to McNaught's offspin as Crawford took a regulation catch at mid-off. No.3 Lalli fell early to Ganapathi with a great grab from Malik running back at cover. Richardson and Manchip tried to salvage some hope towards the end but ended the innings at 110-2 from their 16 overs. Richardson played a lone knock and finished with 64.
