A Junior Beginner

If you are aged from eight to eighteen and think cricket might be the sport for you, come and try it out at Winter nets from January onwards.

Accies is full with keen and qualified young coaches who will help you integrate and pick up all the skills you need to start a long and successful cricketing career.

An Ambitious Junior

Do you play or wish to play junior representative cricket?

With an extensive indoor winter training programme, bowling machine sessions, video analysis and one on one coaching with Vedam Hariharan and National League cricket on offer, Accies is the best place for you to perform to the height of your ability.

Accies' successful junior section - WDJCU U18 Champions 2006 - provides a competitive but friendly atmosphere to play your junior cricket.

Five Accies were last year regulars in the West District Under 18 side, with Duncan Kelso going on to play for Scotland U17s. Sam Page also lent his considerable talents to the Scotland U13 squad.

Accies has produced some quality internationalists over the years, most recently Dougie Lockhart and Euan Stubbs.

A move to Accies can't fail to help your cricket.

An Adult Beginner

If you have never played much cricket before but fancy giving it a shot, Accies could be the place for you. Over our winter nets programme our qualified ECB and Cricket Australia level 1 coaches will run through the basic skills of the game to set you up for your first season of competitive cricket in 2008.

Come the summer, Vedam Hariharan, one of Scotland's most qualified cricket coaches, takes over the Head Coach role - and our eleven other qualified coaches will be on hand to help you with any cricketing problems you may have.

As a beginner, there will be opportunities for you to play most Saturdays, as well as the odd Sunday and Midweek fixture in mixed ability sides.

An Adult Enthusiast

Maybe you don't think you're a world-beater but you like giving it a good go.

At Glasgow Accies you will be welcomed with open arms and given the opportunity to play at the standard that best suits you.

You can train as hard as you like and help from Hari or any of the other coaches will be at readily at hand.

An Experienced Adult

Maybe you've just moved to Glasgow to study or work, or perhaps you just want a change of cricketing scenery.

Regardless of your level, Accies offers opportunities afforded by no other cricket club in the West of Scotland.

Head coach Vedam Hariharan has a policy of continued development and insists that fourteen or forty, you can benefit from coaching input.

"A trouble in Scottish cricket is that everybody is happy to coach you until you leave U15 cricket, and then you're on your own," explains Hari.

"Not at Accies. I look to support every player, regardless of age or level."

As well as help during training sessions, Hari offers a video analysis service for just £5 per person. The profits from this venture all go back into improving the club's coaching facilities.

This level of coaching support, unheard of elsewhere in Scottish cricket, makes Accies the perfect place to play cricket to the highest possible level.

New Women/Girls

Accies is proud to welcome any women or girls who wish to play club cricket.

At the moment there is no womens' cricket club in the city of Glasgow, but Accies is beginning to build up a sizeable female membership.

The long-term aim is to build a full womens' side, but for the time being, women are able to join in with the existing teams.

Accies provides unparalleled separate female changing and showering facilities at all its grounds in an effort to make women feel comfortable and welcome.
